Living Smarter with Evernote Premium
2014 is only a few weeks away and one of my resolutions for the new year is to transition notes, sketches, and business documents to the cloud. Evernote is the cloud service I’ve chosen as the primary tool for organizing in the new year.
The benefits of paperless are fairly obvious as far as organization goes but the feature I’m most interested in is the smart search capability of Evernote Premium. Smart search quickly scans documents for keywords and brings up matches on the fly with deadly accuracy. Looking for that bacon recipe you saved in Evernote? Type Bacon into the app and your related documents are brought up instantly. There are a few limitations to the search feature as far as file formats but for others you still search and store using more traditional tag and title searches.
The second major benefit of Evernote are the collaborative features. Recently I’ve been sharing private notebooks with clients to provide revisions and feedback. I also hope to explore the Evernote Skitch image editor app as I continue to transition more of my creative workflow into Evernote in 2014.
